Krista Abad is the co-owner of Monaco Salon, a working stylist and an educator focused on hair extensions, toppers and cosmetic hair loss coverage. At Monaco’s Bay to Bay location in South Tampa, she helps women explore ways to add length, build fullness or cover areas of thinning, with a plan shaped around their own hair and everyday life.

Her work centers on the details that make added hair feel personal: color, texture, placement and the way it blends with the hair a guest already has. Whether she is planning keratin bonds, weft extensions, a topper or an integration system, Krista considers the starting hair, the desired result and the upkeep involved. For curls, waves and shorter styles, that planning also means looking closely at texture, density and the transition between natural and added hair.

Krista treasures the time she spends with each guest. Listening, explaining the available options and helping someone feel comfortable in the chair are part of her approach. The transformation matters to her, but so does how a guest feels wearing and caring for their hair after the appointment.
